New Leadership Accelerates Agrinos Growth Potential in Europe
Oslo, Norway (March 19, 2019)—Agrinos has recently taken significant steps to expand its commercial presence in Europe and increase product sales in the region.
In December 2018 Agrinos appointed Matthias Schulze as Executive Vice President of Europe and Africa. Schulze, whose experience includes 15 years of strategic business development with leading agriculture companies, is now committed to optimizing Agrinos’ operations, agronomic research, marketing and sales activities throughout Europe.
Under Schulze’s leadership, Agrinos is currently focusing on specialty crops (fruits and vegetables) along with potatoes and sugar beets. In more than 60 strawberry field trials conducted between 2014 – 2018, growers utilizing Agrinos products showed an average yield increase of 10.5 percent (median 8.6 percent). Strawberry growers in Spain have reported consistent yield increases in greenhouse research as well as plastic tunnel growing farm environments.
In terms of regulatory advances, Agrinos recently received Belgian registration for its liquid microbial HYT® A (marketed in Europe as eNable®) and foliar-applied nutrient solution HYT B (marketed in Europe as B Sure®). “With these two important product registrations we will now be able to further develop our market footprint in central and northern Europe,” said Schulze.
Agrinos plans to establish a European head office in Germany over the coming months and will hire staff with expertise in key areas of the business. They will also review operations and logistics to ensure customers receive the highest quality products and services.
Recent trends indicate a growing adoption of microbials and biostimulants among growers in Europe. “We look forward to our continued engagement with growers seeking opportunities to increase profitability while benefitting from improved soil health and sustainable farming practices,” said Schulze. “The Agrinos portfolio includes three unique offerings, each one designed to provide specific benefits to the plant. Agrinos is pleased to serve as a reliable partner in the European agricultural marketplace.”
